Primary Chain

The primary chain requires renewal when stretched more than 1/4in. per foot, and usually this is indicated by any external adjustment has been accepted. A loose nut location affects the steering assembly and cause fracture spring, springs also break if the damper cylinder is very worn. It is advisable to renew the complete cluster of springs and reassemble the shock is greatly facilitated by partial removal of the slotted cam sleeve instead of trying to compress the spring cluster hand!
